Volunteer Opportunities
Pre-Dental Society at UC Irvine strives to be well-rounded individuals who are passionate about their communities, their hobbies, and their goals. In the 2021-2022 academic year, PDS will focus on building their character to become productive contributors and better people overall. They are dedicated to providing any service available to the countless organizations in Orange County who are devoted to help fellow neighbors.

Care Harbor Los Angeles
MISSION: "Care Harbor provides free medical, dental and vision care to the uninsured, underinsured and underserved in our communities. For those who live without access to the care they need, [their] clinic events are a destination for help and hope." For more information, visit their website.
Kidworks
MISSION: "KidWorks serves over 800 children, youth, and parents through weekly programs and over 3,000 community members annually from three learning centers. We’re developing leaders who want to make a difference in their community. They’re getting better grades than they used to, they’re staying in school at a higher rate than their peers, and they’re getting healthy and fit through nutrition and fitness classes. We believe that these young leaders can eventually transform and restore their community." Read their story here.

Lestonnac Free Clinic
MISSION: "Our Mission is to ensure that there are no closed doors for those seeking primary healthcare within our service communities. Since 1979, our mission at Lestonnac Free Clinic has been to provide free primary medical, dental, and mental health services to the uninsured, medically indigent and those who do not qualify under any third party program. We are an independently run, free community clinic that does not bill for services provided or accept any government funding. With our mission as our foundation we have, for the last 34 years, looked for opportunities to increase access to the medical care and services that will help ensure the health of our county’s poor."

Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps
MISSION: RAM is a Knoxville, Tennessee-based, non-profit, volunteer, airborne medical relief corps that provides free health care, dental care, eye care, veterinary services, and technical and educational assistance to people in remote areas of the United States, and around the world. Their mission: "To prevent pain and alleviate suffering by providing free, quality health care to those in need."

Shadetree NURSERY Partnership
MISSION: "Shadetree Partnership Inc. is non profit (501 (c) (3) volunteer-based organization that promotes more livable communities through the planting and stewardship of shade trees and other nursery stock. Shadetree operates a 5 ½ acre nursery located on the campus of the University of California, Irvine where over 4,000 trees and shrubs/groundcover are currently growing. It is at that location that enthusiastic volunteers grow, care for and nurture trees, shrubs and groundcover for planting on public lands including schools, parks, churches, and cities. Since its formation in 1990, Shadetree has planted more than 26,500 trees and groundcover at various sites within the community. Many Orange County schools, colleges, community groups, non-profits and businesses have participated in Shadetree planting events." For more information, visit their website here

Someone Cares Soup Kitchen
MISSION: "to feed a daily nutritional meal to the homeless, the unemployed, the working poor, the mentally challenged, the physically challenged, the senior citizens and most important of all – the children. We provide this meal to our guests in a friendly, non-threatening atmosphere. We believe that no one should go to bed hungry, on the street or otherwise. The Soup Kitchen provides a nutritional and tasteful meal to the less fortunate in our community. A meal that we would be proud to serve to our family at home. A well-balanced meal, made fresh daily, consisting of vegetable soup, lettuce and fruit salads, hearty and filling side dishes, breads and muffins, desert, milk and water." Surfrider Foundation
MISSION: "The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s oceans, waves and beaches for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education. Surfrider Foundation now has more than 50,000 members in the USA and 90 chapters worldwide. International Surfrider Foundation chapters and affiliates have been established in many foreign countries including the Surfrider Foundation Europe (with ongoing programs and Chapters in France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Italy) as well as Japan, Brazil, and Australia."
